Sian Taylor - Parent Governor

I joined as a governor because I believe that I can help to make a difference. I have a strong desire to ensure the wellbeing of those around me and have interest in mental health. My two daughters have proven to me the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for them to grow and develop so they can become the effervescent young people they deserve to be.

Zoe O'Neill - Parent Governor

I have three children all of whom have been or are attending Hobbs Hill.  I am proud to have been a parent governor since my youngest joined in 2012 working with the school to improve the quality of education and support the schools mission and vision.  My focus within the governing body is early years and phonics and personally my skills are business analysis and IT which have been useful in offering a critical perspective to school improvement and allowed me to support IT improvements.

Averil Glynn - Parent Governor

The eldest of my three daughters joined HHW in 2021. With my background of education, qualifying with a B.Ed in Home Economics and Economic Studies, I sought the opportunity to join the governing panel in the Spring of 2024. With a number of years' experience working as a Secondary school teacher, I have a keen interest in pupil progress and teaching methodologies. I also have a passion for all things sports and outdoors. Currently, I have been working in the finance industry as a banking relationship manager for companies with real estate portfolios since 2016.

Holly Parker - Parent Governor

I have two children at Hobbs Hill Wood who are currently in Year 6 and Year 3. I also have an almost two-year old at Nursery. Since graduating with a degree in Psychology in 2010 I have worked at the University of Hertfordshire as a manager in the Academic Registry Team. My team supports both students and academics on their course enrolment all the way through to graduation. I am responsible for ensuring regulations and policies are followed to ensure the best possible student experience. I hope to use these skills as a Governor to support Hobbs Hill Wood in its next chapter.

I have two children who attend HHW, and appreciate the local community and the School’s visions, aims and ethos – which I’m excited to contribute towards as one of the School’s Co-opted Governors.

Luke Fisher - Co-opted Governor

I'm proud to serve as a governor at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School, where my child currently attends, and another will soon join. The safety and development of our children is my highest priority. With a degree in business and experience as Director of Gaming at a London-based creative agency, I bring expertise in project and financial management. My goal is to support the school's continued excellence and contribute fresh ideas to make our great school even better, ensuring every child thrives in a secure, nurturing environment.

Dora Ngoma - Parent Governor

I am a Chartered Certified Account and Fellow Tax Adviser, and I run my own accountancy practice in Hemel Hempstead. I bring experience in finance, governance and strategic oversight, with a strong focus on accountability and the effective use of resources.

I became a parent governor as my youngest child joined Hobbs Hill Wood, and I wanted to contribute my skills to support the school and its leadership. I have previously served as a parent governor at my older children's school, which gave me valuable insight into the role governors play in supporting school improvement. As a governor, I am committed to helping the school provide a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
