Racing Cars 2024
In our Design Technology lessons, we designed and made wooden vehicles. They were created with the intention of being played with by Reception children, so they needed to be fun to look at. They were also going to be raced against each other so they needed to be fast.
Making them required a number of technical skills including using hand saws, glue guns, handheld drills and screwdrivers. We also needed to have some artistic flair with paints and pens.
The photos below show us racing the cars against each other. A selection of Reception children then came up to our classrooms to select the one they would most like to play with.
