Find more out about the individuals who make up the Governing Body
I am an LEA Governor who joined the body in 2012. I am originally from Birmingham and moved to Hemel Hempstead in 2003. My daughter attends Hobbs Hill Wood.
I joined the governing body in 2013 as I wanted to be a part of the school and wanted to give something back.
As the Head teacher at Hobbs Hill Wood I opted to become a governor when I took up my post in 2001. My role as the head teacher and governor is to ensure that the Governing Body is fully supported to make a range of strategic decisions to ensure the very best outcomes for all pupils. By working closely together we can lead and develop the school through many exciting and challenging initiatives.
I have been a parent governor since 2011 and have two children at Hobbs Hill Wood. I am committed to help the school maintain and improve its standards by being a member of the school improvement committee.
I joined the governing body in 2013. Having 3 children loving Hobbs Hill Wood School I wanted to contribute to the school and to have a hand in maintaining its high standards.
Before having children, I worked for 15 years in mental health settings and with women with experience of the criminal justice setting. I now have 2 children at Hobbs Hill Wood. When I saw that the governing body needed more people I decided to apply. It's really interesting to find out more about how the school is run and to play a part in supporting the school.
