Background

The Government is providing £320 million in funding for the PE and sport premium for the 2025/26 academic year.

The funding is a government initiative aimed at improving the quality of physical education (PE) in primary schools across England. It was introduced in 2013 as part of the British government's School Sport Activity and Action Plan.
