Improving outcomes for all our pupils through high quality teaching and learning

Walk to Gadebridge Park 2016

On Friday 13th May, the whole of Year 6 went on a walk to Gadebridge Park.
The morning was filled with playing on the playground equipment, having a go at a variety of sports and playing 'Pooh Sticks' on the river.
After lunch, we walked back along the river - taking a close look at the renovations of the Water Gardens.
We then got to see one of the canal locks in action, which was a great educational talking point. (Not that the morning hadn't been educational - lots was learned about the effect of gravity when using the slides, and the impact of centrifugal force when spinning on the roundabout!)
Finally we made it to the shop to purchase a much-needed ice-cream. Without that frozen fatty goodness, I'm not sure all of us would have made it back up the hill!

(The photos are in reverse order so please skip to the end and work your way backwards.)
