On Friday afternoon, Mrs Alexander and Miss Bullock took our girls to Cavendish School for the Annual District Netball Tournament.
The format was simple: group stage followed by quarters, semis and then the final.
Our B team did well, especially considering they had not played many matches this year. They came runners up in the group stage but were knocked out in the quarter final.
Our A team absolutely stormed it! Having recently won the league competition, their confidence was sky-high. They topped their group after a series of convincing wins. They beat St. Albert the Great in the quarter final and then Boxmoor in the semi final.
Their performance in the final was fantastic - beating St. Cuthbert Mayne 11-2. (An incredible scoreline for a ten minute match.)
This is the first time (as far as we can remember) that Hobbs Hill Wood have done the league and tournament double - a truly special achievement.
Well done to all the girls who took part and the coaches who trained them so well.
