Year 2 Trip to Legoland

On Tuesday 22nd March 2016 Year Two went on a trip to LEGOLAND Winsor as part of our Buildings and Structures topic. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day. Our day consisted of lots of new experiences on different rides including the Laiser Raiders, Vikings' River Splash and Pirate Falls. We then stopped for lunch on the picnic benches and watched the log flume. After lunch it was time to head back towards Miniland to start some topic work. In Miniland the children were set a London photo challenge. Children had to correctly find and name ten famous London structures in mini London. Then the children had time to explore Miniland and take a photograph of any structure using the cameras. We will be editing our photographs using Picasa in the next few weeks. After completing our work it was time for more rides! We set off to the Knights' Kingdom and most children had a go on the rollercoaster. Then we went to Adventure Land for a slower ride on the Atlantis submarine. We spotted lots of different fish and even some sharks. Then it was time to go and get our LEGOLAND driving license. We watched a safety DVD and then we were let loose on the Lego City roads. Everyone passed their test! After a fun filled day it was time to get the hill train back and get back on the coach to school. Everyone had a fantastic day including all the grown ups!
