As part of our work on the Victorians, we had a Christmas experience at Hughenden Manor. To get into the spirit of things, we all dressed up in appropriate attire. We also tried our best to bring a Victorian-style packed lunch (avoiding plastic packaging, chocolate and crisps where possible.)
After singing a carol in the church school room, we experienced what life would have been like as a rich and a poor Victorian. We also got to have a look around some of the rooms of Hughenden Manor - the home of Victorian Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli.
